A Las Vegas court convicted Ontario man Mitchell Fairbarn of animal cruelty charges Monday for snatching a flamingo named Peachy from its habitat at the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel and Casino last March in what prosecutors called a drunken and malicious act.
